About the Journal

Scientia Agricolis Vita (SAV) is a multidisciplinary open access journal that focuses on publishing original and unpublished scientific research related to agrifood applications, including agricultural, livestock, food, and biosystems sciences. The journal is published quarterly basis in January, May, and September  by the Faculty of Agronomy of the Universidad Autónoma of Nuevo León (UANL).

The main objective of Scientia Agricolis Vita (SAV) is to provide an international forum for the presentation and discussion of significant advances in all aspects of agrifood sciences, including food production, agrifood engineering and technology, animal and human nutrition, environmental management and sustainability, among others relevant topics.

The journal accepts submissions in a variety of modalities, including Scientific Articles, Short Communications and Review Articles, and is subject to a rigorous peer review process to ensure the quality and originality of the papers published.

Scientia Agricolis Vita (SAV) is open to researchers and scientists from all over the world and aims to be a meeting point for discussion and exchange of ideas among experts in the field of agricultural and food sciences.

Objective and scope

Scientia Agricolis Vita (SAV) is a scientific publication specializing in the fields of agriculture, livestock, and food and bio systems sciences. Our main objective is to disseminate original and unpublished research in the form of scientific articles, short communications and review articles, written in Spanish and English. We are committed to academic excellence and scientific rigour, so all manuscripts are peer- reviewed by specialists in the field. SAV publishes three issues per year in digital format through the Open Journal System (OJS) platform.

Welcome to the third issue of Scientia Agricolis Vita (SAV) from the UANL School of Agronomy.

In this issue, we bring together research ranging from food quality analysis to studies on the impact of environmental factors on crops. The authors present advances in rapid and simple techniques for assessing essential properties in plant materials, which promise to optimize research processes in areas such as agricultural physiology and biochemistry.

We also explore how external conditions can alter the physicochemical characteristics of certain fruits, generating valuable information for improving crop production and management. In addition, we address studies highlighting the importance of safety and quality in traditional food products, a vital aspect of the sustainable development of the agri-food sector.

Each article on this issue provides new tools, knowledge, and solutions applicable to the field, always advancing toward a more efficient, safe, and aware approach to current challenges in agriculture.

We invite you to discover the full content and continue contributing to our sector's scientific development!
